I probably should have mentioned that I know that I’m more fortunate than many other law grads because I already have a job.
Sure, I’d love to work as a lawyer, but it beats not working at all by a long shot!

I’ll start with your point about the tone of the posts: Yes, they are attacks. However, with the exception of Scott’s original post, they are all in response to Rachel’s seemingly odd rant against ethical concerns being raised. Again, my point is that merely raising ethical concerns is not an attack, referring back to her rant.

I’m sorry if I made it seem that I was claiming that younger attorneys are more often sanctioned than older ones. I did not intend to convey that. I was merely speaking from my own and Rachel’s perspective; as younger attorneys (in my case, almost-attorneys), even if there are many more older attorneys sanctioned than younger, the large number of young attorneys sancitoned should give us pause anyway.

You made a specific statement about young attorneys. While I’m aware that, as you say, lots of attorneys have been sanctioned for violating professional responsibility rules, without additional analysis, your statement implying that young attorneys violate professional responsibility rules more often than experienced attorneys is unsupported.

I agree that being made aware of ethical concerns is not the same as being attacked. However, I’ve read the posts you link to (and others). The tone is definitely one of attack.
